AI and data policy

How prompts, simulation state, and chat are sent to our AI provider, and how you should treat the outputs.

What Simvolve generates

Simvolve uses AI to create scenario setup, turns, action previews, stats, and in-simulation chat. Outputs are produced automatically from your prompts and the current world state. They can be incomplete, inconsistent, or wrong. Treat them as a creative tool, not as a source of facts or professional advice.

What is sent to the AI provider

Generation runs on our servers. We send OpenAI the text needed for that request — typically your prompt, relevant scenario and entity data, recent turns, and the chat messages in that thread. We do not send your password. We do not send your card number; payments stay with Stripe.

OpenAI processes that content to return a completion, under their API terms. We do not use your simulation content to train Simvolve’s own models. We do not operate a public gallery or marketplace of other people’s simulations today; cloud saves are tied to your account.

Ownership and license

You retain rights in the inputs you provide. You grant Simvolve a license to process those inputs and the resulting outputs so we can run, save, and display your simulations. Outputs may resemble content generated for others. We do not guarantee uniqueness or that outputs are free of third-party copyright. You are responsible for how you use them.

Human review

We do not routinely read your private simulations. We may access content if you ask for support, if we investigate abuse, security, or legal claims, or if we must comply with the law. Safety filters at Simvolve or at OpenAI may block some prompts.

Your responsibilities

  • Do not paste secrets, others’ personal data, or material you cannot lawfully use.
  • Follow the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Check important facts yourself. Simulations can invent events, numbers, and citations.
  • Label AI-assisted work when someone else needs to know it was generated.
